The health care field called
Chiropractic is, has been, and always will be principled on the effects to the
body from the spine, the muscles that support the bones, and the nervous system
that communicates within the body. Chiropractic
is, however, exceptionally diverse in the extent of its overall philosophies
and therefore in its doctors’ potential scope of practice. This creates a very large divergence in what
potential services can be offered in a particular Chiropractic office.
In some philosophies of
practice, Chiropractors focus only on spinal related conditions, while other
philosophies also include in the extremities (joints of the arms and legs, jaw,
etc.) and even the body’s organ systems; looking at the entire body as a
potential factor in a spinal condition.
At the far end of this side of
the spectrum, some Chiropractors are functioning as primary and portal of entry
health care physicians, and are literally working with most any health related
condition that might arise in the patient population. (Mn. DC’s cannot refer to ourselves as
physicians by state statue, but are able to work as primary and portal of entry
health care providers, fully capable to diagnose disease.)
In this group, falls a group of
DC’s that utilize a very specialized technique called Applied Kinesiology (AK).
AK
is a system of analysis that aids in the diagnostic process. AK
utilizes manual muscle testing to find various Chemical-Structural-Energetic
factors that are contributing to health related problems. AK provides a means for the physician to dialogue
with the human body and its nervous system via muscle testing indicators. In most cases, the patient’s symptoms and the
cause of those symptoms are quite different - one from another.
Working with the body in this
manner literally takes health care to another dimension in our ability to find
the factors that are contributing to various health related conditions. You will be very pleased with the results our
patients are experiencing.

information we have on Applied Kinesiology and Functional Medicine.
